How does this relate to the debate?

Hey I rhymed! lol

Something occurred to me earlier and I wanted to see how others thought it might relate to the whole "which is harder SAH/WOH" portion of the debate that crops up so often.

I think that, when you look at either group *as a whole*, the WOHs might have it harder. And this is why ...

There are virtually no SAHMs who SAH because they "have to". There are virtually no SAHMs who are forced to SAH. A woman that SAH wants to SAH.(I'm sure there's a few exceptions out there; controlling dhs who MAKE their wives SAH, disabled children, etc) A woman that SAH doesn't hate her "job", or else she'd go get a WOH job. A woman that SAH is generally getting what she wants.

There are LOTS AND LOTS of WOHMs who WOH because they "have to". A single mom, or one whose dh doesn't make enough to support the family, or one with a disabled dh, whatever the case may be ... she may long, with all her heart, to SAH, but *can't*. Many WOHMs hate their jobs, but can't quit.

Anyhoo ... just wanted to stir up something new

??? Don't think so. You'd have to be awfully high paid to afford living in the sticks around here!

I'd say that's pretty weak, not to mention pathetic.

Well, to some people, a "crib" is a trough that animals eat out of. Like a "feeding crib." We called our crib a "cage" in a joking way....but one meaning of the word is "an enclosing openwork structure: placed a protective cage over the sapling; a bank teller's cage." I don't care that some people want to use the word as an insult, as in "you keep your baby in a CAGE?" The plain fact is, I did from time to time (also co-slept from time to time) and I don't see anything wrong with admitting it.

I think they should probably stop nursing when they can say "hey mom, I'm thirsty, bring those things over here and give me a drink", and then proceed to unbutton your blouse to quench their thirst.

"i dont care if im misunderstood it is only the problem of the poster not listening."

Actually it's the problem of the person who is incapable of being coherent. It's not that people aren't listening, they just can't decipher your writing.

"I dont care if im misunderstood...what i do care about if it is your problem with me."

You should care, how can a person possibly not care to have others understand them? Isn't that the very essence of intelligent life?

Thanks. Thought I'd take a minute out of my lunch hour to see if the war is still raging.

Guess so. Ay, ay, ay. Mothers, wives, countrywomen, can we not beat our dustpans into plowshares? (You guys too, in case there are any lurking.) Can't we all just get along? Or at least get back to the original topic . . .
