How does this relate to the debate?

Something occurred to me earlier and I wanted to see how others thought it might relate to the whole "which is harder SAH/WOH" portion of the debate that crops up so often.
I think that, when you look at either group *as a whole*, the WOHs might have it harder. And this is why ...
There are virtually no SAHMs who SAH because they "have to". There are virtually no SAHMs who are forced to SAH. A woman that SAH wants to SAH.(I'm sure there's a few exceptions out there; controlling dhs who MAKE their wives SAH, disabled children, etc) A woman that SAH doesn't hate her "job", or else she'd go get a WOH job. A woman that SAH is generally getting what she wants.
There are LOTS AND LOTS of WOHMs who WOH because they "have to". A single mom, or one whose dh doesn't make enough to support the family, or one with a disabled dh, whatever the case may be ... she may long, with all her heart, to SAH, but *can't*. Many WOHMs hate their jobs, but can't quit.
Anyhoo ... just wanted to stir up something new

Carry on.
1. Silverunity responded to the original OP's assertion (wohm working for suv's etc.) with a *valid points* remark
2. Eileen then responded something to the effect of *you must be shopping at stereotypes R US.
3. Silverunity got all offended and was saying she was misunderstood. That's not what she meant. That she wasn't really agreeing with the OP.
4. Those of us who know and understand the definition of *valid* were then left wondering what it was she meant.
5. Silverunitys assertion is that she doesn't need to explain herself to anyone. And if people don't understand the difference between what she *thinks and writes* that is their problem.
6. Since that kind of postion doesn't work to well on a DEBATE BOARD, I am sure you can now see you the whole thing evolved.
7. It also doesn't help matters when she starts saying things like (and much worse, but she edited it out) "that she spewed puke from her mouth and id hate to be her.." about Eileen.
I think we need a Cyber Time Out Corner.

~i was not offended I dont think maybe i found her opinion to be offensive but i dont rcall saying so, she made a great point is EXACTLY what I meant and i never claimed otherwise. See your telling me what you THINK i did agian~

~I have expalined myself on numerous ocassion and have asked poster what else it is they need me to clarify. So that is your problem your thinking for me agian.
Your right DFL I didi say that nothing worse, I think a lot of people talk trash around here and i hate to be like that.
Obviously some of you just prefer im not here but boy you sure like to banter with me.
take care~
oh and im not going anywhere, ill be around;-)
What about SAHMs who have them? Does that say something about thier parenting ability? What about WOHD who put in hours/days/weeks at the office in order to be able to pay for the material things?
Is the problem materialism or employment status? How come material items are only a negative if the mom works?
