How does this relate to the debate?

Hey I rhymed! lol

Something occurred to me earlier and I wanted to see how others thought it might relate to the whole "which is harder SAH/WOH" portion of the debate that crops up so often.

I think that, when you look at either group *as a whole*, the WOHs might have it harder. And this is why ...

There are virtually no SAHMs who SAH because they "have to". There are virtually no SAHMs who are forced to SAH. A woman that SAH wants to SAH.(I'm sure there's a few exceptions out there; controlling dhs who MAKE their wives SAH, disabled children, etc) A woman that SAH doesn't hate her "job", or else she'd go get a WOH job. A woman that SAH is generally getting what she wants.

There are LOTS AND LOTS of WOHMs who WOH because they "have to". A single mom, or one whose dh doesn't make enough to support the family, or one with a disabled dh, whatever the case may be ... she may long, with all her heart, to SAH, but *can't*. Many WOHMs hate their jobs, but can't quit.

Anyhoo ... just wanted to stir up something new

Excuse me TM but, escm did not disagree with me, she told me where she thinks i shop without further clarification or actual proof of her acusation, including the rest of you after i clarifyed to her what I said in my first post on this board, she misrepresented my words. You may point out valid points and not support the entire post. That is a debate. It is true there certainley are WOHM who do work only for materil gain. I see no problem with that it is a choice but it is a valid point imo.

I dont agre with your explanation I dont think you have explained it to be correct for me, there is no reson for you to be sorry.

I have spent far more time b/c there are many of you here deating me not the topic. If it was only one person debating me persoannly than it would not have to be so dang time consumming for me. There is nothing silly about that and I dont believe I claimed anyone has spent more time than me, did I?...what I find silly well really shocking and somewhat creepy is how much time i take consuming others thoughts.

Sure, I'll post those links as soon as you post ones that show we, any of us, attacked you personally (you know, as a person). You can find lots that show us dissecting and disagreeing with opinions and ideas, and a slew where we attacked the ridiculous, confusing, incomprehensible style of your posts. But you can't find any where we attacked you as a person.

We, on the other hand, can find plenty showing your attacks, particularly on eileen.

Are you asking if I would trade my life experiences for more money in the bank?

No, I would not.

We will have enough for retirement and DS' college tuition.

Nope, wouldn't change a thing. We're off to the park. It's a glorious morning here in the sticks.

I'm pretty sure I would notice if your screen was all over my mouth. In any case, even if your screen were all over my mouth, I can't say I'd find a tissue very useful in removing it.

Perhaps you should use the tissue for the "dribble" you claim is all over your screen.

And, fortunately, for chidlren with GOOD parents (many don't have good parents) use of a substitute caregiver does not eliminate their parents!!!! Your argument would hold if the parents were of better quality than the substitute caregiver AND the parents just left. Don't you get that it's not either or but BOTH. Use of substitute care is NOT an issue BECAUSE my kids still have me. I am not eliminated because I choose to use substitute care. AND as, I hope, a decent mother, I have chosen our substitute care very carefully. Why in the world do you think that good parents would choose lousy care situations for their kids? Why do you think that everything I do for my kids is null and void because my kids spend 25% of their time in someone elses care? Why is this so freaking all or nothing for you???

I feel sorry for your kids. I sure hope they , by some miracle, manage to not develop your holier than though judgemental attitude.
