How will the economy affect WOH/SAH?

How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

Considering the unemployment rate, I have a feeling more parents will be at home. In some cases that may mean the woman has to work, because her husband can't find work.

i don't know.

i don't know of anybody whose position is,i can't SAH anymore so i'm off to work because of the economy....i don't think SAH is so much a luxury as it is a privlege.

Sure, lots of SAHPs will be trying to return to work, but it won't be easy. The same economy that caused their spouses to be laid off will also affect SAHPs seeking jobs. With more competition, employers are

but a family who has chosen a SAHM is more likely to accept the reality of cutting back,a more modest lifestyle
