How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

Yes that is true as you have spoken about your salary in the past.

The posts after that went onto col and I was comparing my job to the same job in your area and the same with your job to my area.

Of course not, never said any differently and that is also true for kids changing schools from private to public.

So then why is this an issue?

Maybe you missed that I have gotten the same education by taking the same classes as college students are taking, for free, provided by my company.

Do keep in mind that what you state may be true in many areas, it might not (probably wouldn't) hold true in a "college town". Due to the academic nature of college towns, degrees are held in much higher regard and it's unusual for a job to not require one, in fields in which degrees are available. (i.e. they won't require a degree for a clerical job, but very well might for an accounting position). It's been my experience that the educational requirements in college towns are somewhat higher than in non-college-towns.

Your assumption:

Yes, but it's not the only elementary school feeding into the middle school, correct? There isn't any guarantee that one's classes will only be populated with friends from the elementary school, correct? Or that friendships will change and grow through the years, correct?

lol!! Why would you think I would work at a college or even near it? I could easily go out of my own town for work (as I do now) and even though you have an idea of what I do, you really don't to figure out what type of work I would be going for.
