How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

This whole using the class/student to sell the school to un-matriculated and un-committed students is so foreign to me.

Many, not all, lenders do require that all money specifically designated for housing/mortgage be disclosed.

"Many, not all, lenders do require that all money specifically designated for housing/mortgage be disclosed."

Correct all money specifically needed to prove that one can make the mortgage payment needs to be disclosed. Addition money not needed to make that payment does not need to be disclosed.

As I posted earlier since we qualified for the mortgage we were requesting on DH's income alone so the lender had no interest in my income.

Since there is no guarantee that one will receive a childcare payment every month and eventually those childcare payments will stop it would be foolish to use childcare payments as proof of ability to make a mortgage. Much better to borrow an amount of money that one could get disregarding the childcare payments.

and the fact of the matter is some (many?) people do provide it just to qualify themselves for a loan they can't afford without it.

but you can't say that each and everybody who receives child uspport leaves that space blank.

Who has even attempted to make that point? The discussion HERE has been the Greek Chorus wringing their hands over the "lying" by loan applicants who attempt to qualify for loans WITHOUT disclosing all sources of income. Which is what semi-emptynester was addressing and demonstrating how it's not necessary NOR lying.

Where you got this whole, "you can say that each and everybody who receives child uspport leaves that space blank." dealio is anyone's guess.
