How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

How would you come to this conclusion?

If my husband lost his job tomorrow, I would be able to cover the mortgage, utilities and food. It would be tight, but a lot more survivable than total job loss.

My working allows also for a much better rate of savings than if I SAH.

I think that living beyond your means is a pretty common situation, SAH or WOH.
