How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

Ugghh-that is why I am soooo done with this debate. There are too many crystal clear things I see (of course no one else does-lol!) about this school situation. I am just glad that I made the right decision about buying in a good district. If it takes to live in a higher col and pay higher taxes, then so be it. At least I know I don't have to "school shop" for elementary schools and can put my time and energy into something else, like my children :)

ITA with you and that is why I am done with this debate. Especially if it is a school that is getting tuition, they are making it a point to show off their best side when you are sitting in their classroom.

There is no "perfect" school for every child and I have 2 totally different children and my one school seems to be accomodating both of them and they are both learning in their own ways-shrug.

I don't know, that assumes you have school aged kids when you buy a house. Many buy when they have the baby. Quite a bit can change in the 10+ years it takes a child to get to the end of elementary school. Plus, there are always the school boundary changes that come along.

I guess it depends on your perspective. I see many kids who have been in 2-3 elementary schools - their parents have jobs that move them from place to place every few years. Kids, for the most part, adapt very well.
