How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

10+ years to get to elementary school? :0
I don't know but my son just started Kindergarten in September and since he has a later birthday, he was 4 when he started.

Schools in better places are able to have children of all types to thrive. That is why we pay higher taxes to have better educated teachers, more of them with different backgrounds and more opportunities.

LIza's dad is a genius too -- so is HIS dad (who happens to work as a custodian by the way ...)

ITA with you. It makes no sense to sit in one class (that your child might not even eventually end up in) to see one teacher's way of teaching. You can't possibly do that for every year, for every class.

I also wonder HOW many of these parents are doing this? Is there a waiting list to get to sit in a class? How long do you sit there? How much are you really seeing?

I am finding the use of the term "genius" quite amusing. I am wondering how that is defined.
