How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

Yes, I don't know why that question is avoided.

Yes, agreed. I also came across several schools that had, for example, stellar test scores, but which did not teach certain subjects that were important to me and/or did not teach the right way. In such a case, the test scores don't mean much.

Well, high taxes could mean a lot of things though...and not just directed towards the school system.

I am more likely to volunteer my time for field trips and helping with newsletters, more likely to attend the school functions, etc.

Why?

One would have to know what that means in order to answer your question.....somehow I doubt that you'll get an answer.

I am sorry, I am still not following you. I thought I was familiar with most of the abbreviations on these boards but it appears I am not!

I agree that I live in an area with underfunded public schools. I do not agree that underfunded necessarily means an inferior education.

One of the elementaries in our district went through a few principals in just a few years.

I guess if you call paying the teachers a higher salary, waste, ok then :)
