How do you think the economy will affect decisions by women to stay at home versus work? With so many people losing jobs, do you think more women will be forced back into a job to help out (or take over) family finances? Is SAH parenting

No, I said the cost of some things down south are about the same as up north if not just a little less, food being one.

"I live in a high col area and can purchase a home for $150,000 right now."

Never said zipcode (unless you are considering a trailer). I said area and yes, a town over you can get something for $150,000 or less.

There are way too many factors.

Unless you don't care about getting unreliable hot water or management that is never around during "office hours" or having upstairs neighbors that yell and scream at each other every day. Then apparently $850 is the going rate. If we want hot water, management that cares, or sane neighbors, then not only do I have to work, but I'll have to work full time. Boo - I'm still not happy about this. Hot showers ARE a part of my SOL choices, though, so I guess it's my own fault.

The apt. we used to rent goes for $300 MORE than what we paid for it, just under $1,000 and it was a one bedroom, living room, bathroom and eat-in kitchen.

I already said that gas in Texas has got to be cheaper.

I found a duplex for $650, but there was gunfire in the area and liquor bottle on the sidewalk.
