So you've got nothing.
The East Side is actually quite lovely this time of year and far from dreary. I'm pretty provincial now as I rarely leave my little 'burg during the school year as the kids have something everyday, but I did have dinner last weekend at the Rue De L'Espoir, which has been around forever. It was a bit more pricey than Fruit Loops, but much more affordable than Forlinis.
Not to mention milk and produce. The local supermarkets are finally taking advantage of locally grown produce during the season.
Milk is a major loss leader at the big box stores here now. I pay half at Bjs than I would at the local Supermarket. With 2 preteen boys, I could transition to sah on the milk savings alone ;-).
