"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.
I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

You quoted my question, but didn't answer it.
Can you explain how you got to your estimate of less than 1 in 1000?
Yeah well, that's just, ya know, like, your opinion, man-The Big Lebowski
"This board seem to be terribly vetriolic against SAHMs even when they aren't posting some hard core position."
Ha! I actually thought that after I posted.
I answered your question, you just didn't like my answer. You're welcome to expect a double digit increase on property tax in your town, but in my neck of the woods, 5% is the legal cap on property tax increases. If we raise taxes even close to that legal limit each year, we would have a tax payer revolt in my town.
And your understanding of RESPA is as anecdotal as mine it seems, so forgive me if I find it less than convincing. I'll go with what the banks told me to program into their systems. But if you have any real evidence to the contrary, feel free to site your sources.
hang in there -- I wish I had a magic insulin pump I could send your way -- I just got the schedule for my 2nd job at the bookstore and I didn't get nearly the hours I had hoped -- I really need between 30-40 a month to be able to pay my mom's rent and I just barely got about 20-25 -- I know I"m the low man on the totem pole there and there are folks there for whom that's their only job but yikes-- grandma needs a new pair of support hose and momma's mortgage and condo fee are due on Monday -- sigh...
it sucks when there's no one to lean on doesn't it?
Yes. We. Did.
Yep.
Also, in-store brands w/o a coupon are, ime, usually cheaper than brand names WITH a coupon.
i agree....and i also agree with your earlier comment about homes selling above market.
