"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.
I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

As you know, that doesn't mean taxes decreased.

they had let's see....years of experience with kids...knowledge I didn't have.... resources I didn't have and honestly -- WAYYYY more patience with Liza than I ever had.
you'd have had to have walked a mile in my moccassins to understand Liza and her bundles of anxieties and outbursts... good lord...I was seriously wondering if swiss boarding schools took them as young as 3 -- and I"m not joking either (usually I'm joking but yeah..not so much this time)
gah.... I used to DREAD weekends -- long weekends were even worse LOL

"Having to freeze it for months and months?"
Sometimes we freeze, but in the spring we eat mostly veggies so we tend to eat most of the veggies. We try to freeze some thing just to continue having access, but the goodies can be too tempting at times. Especially sinc ethe heirloom stuff that our farmer grows is sooo much yummier than anything you'll find in a grocery store.
"what if there are things in there that no one in the family eats? I have one children that will eat every vegetable that crosses her plate -- and two kids that will pretty much eat corn, potatoes & lettuce....I can't imagine even making vegetarian meals (maybe other than baked ziit or mac & cheese) on a regular basis."
We all love veggies and my kids (although very young and have yet to ask me for anything specific to eat for dinner unless we are out then DD begs for Chik-Fil-A) eat pretty much anything put in front of them. My DD will help however she can with cooking so that may make a difference. Anything we absolutely don't like (that's really only radishes) I trade with a friend.
"Additionally, I have no freezer space for that amount of veggies. Right now, my freezer is filled with meats for the week, frozen fruits for smoothies, french fries and ice cream."
We have an upright freezer that we bought 7 years ago for $150-200 (can't remember exactly). I've also noticed them on craigslist around here for as low as $75 for one that's only a couple of years old (we're thinking of buying a second one). You really can't stockpile and shop cheaply without some sort of way to freeze food. My mom has two freezers and two fridges (I guess it was the way I was raised, we always had multiple freezers). We didn't really have anywhere to put our freezer when we moved to our new house so it's in the corner of our living room and I have a chalkboard and kids pictures all over it to make it part of the play area (part of the reason we haven't bought a second is we don't know where it will go).
