"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.
I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

We average about $250-300 or so per week for about 6 people per night per week.
Come talk to me when your kids are 16, 11 and 9 -- and the oldest starts eating you out of house and home.
"I have better things to do with my time, however, than trek around from store to store (waste of gas, imo), spend $ on co-ops, or time on excessive freezing and canning."
Then don't do it!! Why does the fact that I do this somehow translate to you having to?!
"We *do* have farmers markets and such, just not in January."
We don't either, they close from Dec.-Mar.
"And I am not interested in eating things that have been frozen for more than a couple months, max."
Then don't.
"I never said we didnt have local produce as an option, its just not the *same* option. And we dont get 9 months of winter, either, LOL."
You were the one that said you only had a local produce for 3 months. The only time you can't grow SOMETHING is if it gets into the 90's and up (and I've been to Alaska in July I know it doesn't get that hot there) or if there is more than about 6" (maybe a little less I don't know since it doesn't actually snow that much here) of snow on the ground.
"If you've been to Alaska, why make such a disparaging remark about it being *frozen tundra*?"
Sorry if that offends you.
"Or they will lash out and hit and bite, therefor teaching my kid who has never bit another child in her life that this is an acceptable way to get what she wants. She has hit before, but it was when her and the other child were playing with toys and she was being rough trying to get the toy to "kiss" her friend. On the other hand, my cousin who's DD is 6 months younger has been bit in DC, and then proceeded to become the biter herself for awhile. "
Interesting.
I dont think anyone is overly concerned about what you are spending-but it is a debate board and we all like to debate.
I do think, however, you are kind of misrepresenting your stance, when the implication was made that you were feeding a family of 4 on $60 a week. An infant and a toddler dont really eat much, as you said. So you arent really feeding a *family of 4* on that amount.
