"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.
I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

Here's some more light at the end of the tunnel.
Yes. We. Did.
Where were you that people told you it rarely gets above 60 degrees? You do realize that this state is vast. The weather in far north areas like Barrow is totally different than the weather where I live, southcentral, as is the weather in the interior and southeast.
You were here once in July 10 years ago and that is the sum of your perspective on Alaska?
I've lived here all my life and not only

"Biting is a phase for ALL children, in daycare or not. You are talking about dc turning children into problem biters, which is a myth."
I didn't necessarily say that dc turns them into biters, but I've never dealt with my DD biting other children and it's not something I see very much in the playgroup that the poster I responded to called evil. In the RARE event one child bites another child, most of the moms go home to keep them away and typically don't bite again for fear of being taken away, of course I've only actually heard of it happening once. I was proposing that MAYBE DC's aren't this perfect haven for every child and mother. Yeah, some kids may blossom more in a DC setting, but not all do and sometimes it can bring out the worst in some kids.
Ummmm, Oscar Meyer lunchables are decidedly NOT healthy.
Most "whole wheat" crackers still have regular wheat flour as their main ingredient.
I wish our public schools had Latin!
