"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.

I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

Yes, but you were using your two experiences with relatives to make a blanket statement about biting in daycare. I am in no way saying that daycare

This is not really debatable it's my life. I made a mistake posting. Suffice it to say that I have had my pediatrician review her diet (about a month's worth of notes) and he stated it's one of the healthiest well-rounded diets he has seen. Sure we eat some processed foods, I never claimed we didn't, but we eat more whole foods than processed. I've looked in my *super* healthy SILs cabinet and she travels an hour to go to Trader Joes and they have more processed sugary stuff in their cabinets than we do.

Lunchables are not even cost effective.

I have observed that work status of the parents has little to do with the lunches kids bring to school.

I can totally see her doing this. She has the personality to do that type of thing. I'll never eat chocolate again when she hits that stage will I?

I personally find it confusing/conflicting to have someone so concerned about not spending too much $ on groceries, putting in a lot of time and effort to get fresh produce, etc. yet seeming to lack basic knowledge about what is really healthy.
