"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.

I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

In her post she mentioned others that have experienced hardship, so your post doesn't make sense.

Why is it I always get the coffee snorts when reading your posts and Moon Pie's?

For a straightforward transaction?

There have always been typical and atypical children.

"Most daycares have a strict bitiing policy. If a child bites, the parent is called to pick them up for the day and cannot return the next day, pretty much like your play group. "

I've never heard of this policy. I have many WOHM friends who have never been told their child has bit, or been bitten, until they go to pick them up.

"You are comparing a maybe once a week playgroup to daycare, which is pretty much every day and children have a much greater chance to be together and interact."

Someone else started that comparison and called playgroups evil. I love my playgroup because we are friends. I don't go to playgroups that I don't fit into or that I can't make friends with the moms.

I have a feeling, though, that if Chris could have used dc with Erika, she would have.

The biggest legal issues in residential real estate closings, by far, involve disclosures of defects, nothing to do with math.
