"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.

I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

I'd be more worried about an inability to differentiate between the noises of a skunk, a pig or a mountain lion, than whether or not there was flouride in my water.

That flock of turkey buzzards that have adopted a townhome community in Columbia was in our neighborhood earlier this week, sunning on the hill in the green space next to our condo building. They're both cute and a little unsettling, what with all the retirees in the community ;)

And I was a sahm/wahm with my 3rd and I know I didn't see all her firsts. Her sisters saw some of them and dhd saw some. And some were between her and God.

While I'm not adverse to grilling during the winter (or what passes for winter for San Diego), I draw the line at grilling during fire season. For the time being, we will be broiling in the kitchen until the fires are out and the temperatures and wind drops.

and quickly pick up and never return. what's with the people who don't learn their lesson? i'm sure thousands of them will flock back tothe area and re-build only to have them burn down again.

WTH??? Are you blaming the entire population of San Diego County for being stupid for wanting to live there, because arsonists started a bunch of fires???? Are you seriously calling THEM stupid to want to rebuild their homes and lives there? You just figure arson is a fact of life and there's nothing to be done about it? Accept it and move away?

Alrighty, then. :::backing away slowly::::

That's kind of an archaic practice.

People who can no longer pay their mortgages generally "give up" and will stop paying their taxes too.

I can't imagine not treating well water to add in flouride if you have children.
