"I just don't want to work"

Hi all... I'm new to the board and I am curious.

I am in my mid twenties, unmarried, no children. I work in an extremely competitive field with many other women my age. Many of us are making six figures and the job is very stressful. We all have a great work ethic, but sometimes when the stress gets really bad, I'll often hear the girls (never the guys) saying things like "Arrgghh... I'm so sick of work. I just want to marry a rich man, have kids, stay home and NOT WORK."....... I was raised by two working parents (two very loving, caring hardworking parents). My mother was very successful in her career, and I feel that when I get married, I will (like my mom) continue to work and raise children at the same time (my mom was definitely "super mom" ---she did it all and was great!)...... My main question: many of the women in my work stay in the position for about 5-7 years and then leave.....the funny thing is...

No, 100,000 thousand would look like this written purely in numbers: 100,000,000, IOW it is 100 million.

stop being so literal! it's not just "yellow doors" it's the pathetic, tacky inconsiderate things that people do. little things like "yellow doors" have the potential to lead to bigger things. and frankly, anyone painting their door yellow has to be smokin somethin iykwm. not what i want to live next to.

sue me i made a typo. i know that 100,000 is written one hundred thousand and 100,000,000 would be one hundred million.

Given Swedish fondness for blue houses with red doors, or red houses with black doors, or brown houses with yellow doors...I'm thinking a lot of Americans must be positively swooning when they visit here.

if it's common in certain areas to paint houses a particular color, for example in the carribbean "pastel"houses, then it's all good. here in the US, i would say that it would be an exceptional situation to paint

It's an old Saturday Night Live joke. Chevy Chase would start the news with "And this just in....Generalissmo Francisco Franco is STILL dead."

it depends on where you live...we used to live in an area where the subdivision was full of mostly colonials.
