i wouldnt want to...

hello!! i have visited this board off and on but i havent been here in a few months. i decided to start this thread with the open ended sentence. for me, i wouldnt want to stay at home 24/7. i love my kids, but i like my job too. its not what i would call a career(i work in a grocery store)but it brings in money and helps pay the bills. but more importantly, i get away from the house, my kids and my hubby. i need that break. especially when my kids are having one of "those" days. i hate having to miss out on fun things-which i do have to do at times. i hate that i cant just say "sure-i can come." i usually have to say "i'll get back to you-i have to see what im working that day..." and if theres something big invovling my kids, i have to request the day off(which isnt awful, but i have to be careful how many i request off because the manager gets pissy about that

not have a choice.
I like having choices, being able to decide gives me comfort with my decisions.

I would not want to work a job with a long commute. I like my 7 minute commute. Having a long commute would feel you me like working a longer work day but not getting paid for it.
I wouldn't want a long commute.
I wouldn't want a job where I have to dress up every day.
Even if I was independently wealthy, I wouldn't not work....I wouldn't work for pay, but I would work.
