i wouldnt want to...

hello!! i have visited this board off and on but i havent been here in a few months. i decided to start this thread with the open ended sentence. for me, i wouldnt want to stay at home 24/7. i love my kids, but i like my job too. its not what i would call a career(i work in a grocery store)but it brings in money and helps pay the bills. but more importantly, i get away from the house, my kids and my hubby. i need that break. especially when my kids are having one of "those" days. i hate having to miss out on fun things-which i do have to do at times. i hate that i cant just say "sure-i can come." i usually have to say "i'll get back to you-i have to see what im working that day..." and if theres something big invovling my kids, i have to request the day off(which isnt awful, but i have to be careful how many i request off because the manager gets pissy about that

...ever work fulltime. I wouldn't want to work (and didn't) when they were babies. I wouldnt want to quit what I do now b/c I love it and have the best of both worlds.
I wouldn't want to ever have a desk job again...yuck. Not for me.
I realized that I never really put my answer in the form of completing the sentence, so:
I wouldn't want to spend more time working than time with my children.
Can I change the statement slightly to be an "I wish..." sentence?
I wish I had a choice as to whether to WOH or SAH.
I wish my DH had a job since he hates NOT working.
I wish I didn't have to commute 45 minutes
"Besides, all my kids are in school all day so what would I do? CLEAN?"
Volunteer at a direct service non-profit, grow vegetables, read, go to lunch, chair a committee at our Congregation. - that's what I do. I do very little cleaning. It just takes a little imagination.
I could go on and on. :)
I wouldn't want to earn so little that I couldn't indulge my sweet tooth for vintage sewing machines or buying fabrics when Seminole Sampler has a sale.
I wouldn't want to work such long hours that I never have the chance to spend quality time in the sewing room.
I wouldn't want to forget the smell of a sewing machine heating up in the back seat of the car and permeating the air with that wonderful smell of old oil and metal and wood. mmmmmm.

"Kitty, you look great!"
"Thanks! I just had my nipples enhanced. It cost a fortune--nearly $14K, but I was able to finance it for less than I'd have paid for a new car, and seriously, it was worth it, don't you think?"
"uhhhh......gotta run!"

"If you can't annoy somebody with what you write, I think there's little point in writing."-- Kingsley Amis, British novelist, 1971 t .
I wouldn't want to SAH again! Mainly, I have no one at home to take care of, unless you consider the dog a kid, all 3 kids are in elementary. right now being at home alone is very boring, and I am usually done with chores by 12!!
I wouldn't want to work retail again! I liked working at Old Navy for the interaction, otherwise it was very mundane, and easy work!! Plus, getting paid 8 dollars an hour was a pooper!
