I just did that on Monday. I changed my hours at the bridal shop to 10 to 3-4 on Mondays and 11 to 3-4 on Tuesdays. Tuesday's later start is so I can pick Alex up from preschool if needed. When things pick up or things change at home, we'll change my hours again.

Either 9-3, M-F, so that I could avoid before/after care for the kids ...
Or 7-3 and at least avoid aftercare. i do some of my best work in the early morning before anyone else is here.
I'd go back to work right now if I could work 8 pm to midnight.
If I could keep my job the same, same compensation, etc. but simply do it in fewer hours, I'd say 9:30 to 4.
Assuming I still had to commit to a fixed 45 hours in the office, 8 to 5 works great for us.
