And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

UGH. such ridiculousness. WHERE on this board (or ANYWHERE for that matter) has ANYONE said that we raise our kids by only making ourselves happy? what kind of idiotic garbage is that???

Gee, it just so happens that I can raise my kids, put their NEEDS first AND enjoy myself along the way.

Utterly, totally ridiculous.

LOL. Not so big that formula feeding interfered with bonding in any way. would you care to try to explain just HOW i have such attached children even though i woh, used ft dc, bottles and cribs? Oh, wait, i know, it's because "you say so". Got it. no need to respond.

I'll keep my three wonderful kids. I imagine they look nor act any different than your one child.

ROFLOL.

"This is so simple, really. The answer is: so both of their parents can work!!!"

Correction: *Infants* and *young children* DON'T *need* to be in *substitute care*, ADULTS/PARENTS *need* infants and young children to be in *substitute care*. BTW, your the one who uses/used substitute care for 50+ hours per week year round right? Is this truely for THEIR benefit, or YOURS?

funny. i didn't think that bf is a "necessary" component of bonding either. ROFLOL. In fact, i managed being attached and bonded to all THREE of my kids all the while having used bottles.

"But isn't the most natural teacher the parents? Why would you use a substitute to educate your child if you believed that the natural way was best?"

Of course, that's specifically why we homeschool! BTW, I don't use a substitute to educate my child, I'm a former teacher remember? Actually, she goes to school primarily for socialization experiences, not to receive caregiving or an education from a substitute. Haven't we already had this debate?

"Oh that's right, no one cares for your dd during those 7.5 hours during the day."

She goes to school from 9-3. That's 6 hours, not 7.5 hours, and no school isn't substitute care.

Let me spell it out for you. *Bm* is naturally available from the breast, therefore bm in a cup is artificial, OTOH seeing as *juice* is NOT naturally available from the breast, juice in a cup is not artificial. Now do you get it?

"No, he's not. In your opinion, since brestfeeding from the breast is such a BIGGIE."

Yes, of course it's a BIGGIE for MOTHER/CHILD bonding and attachment. Did I say that MOTHER'S and FATHER'S bonding experiences are the SAME? WHERE???
