And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

Bonding is bonding. They bond should be the same. And can be the same.

Unless of course you are suggesting that your dh's bond isn't as strong as *your* bond with your dd.

"You homeschool but she goes to school?????"

Yes, exactly!!! She goes to school for socialization experiences and is homeschooled for the educational part. Did I mention that she's working a couple of grade levels ahead??? In fact, I don't really know what grade level Chinese writing would be. Actually, it's really quite a set up we've got going.

In fact, for a couple of years, I ran a homeschooling coop out of my home for the children of several of our closet friends and family members. You should see our homeschooling materials. I am constantly donating extra materials to her classroom. Luckily, she'll be in with the same kids and teachers for the next 4 years. Anymore questions?

"So where did anyone say that a mother who breast feeds bonds the same way as a mom who FF. Just because they're DIFFERENT (a la Mom vs. Dad bonding) does NOT make one BETTER."

Of course bfing and ffing isn't the same? Yes, of course, they *are* very different. However, that's mostly because one is a *natural* method, where as the other is an *artificial* method. BTW, if you want to believe that *natural* = *artificial* by all means do so, but you won't be convincing me of any such thing LOL.

"Unless she is sucking the juice straight from the fruit, it's artificial. See juice is naturally available from the fruit; therefore juicein a cup is artificial."

And how many people do YOU know that can suck the juice from an apple LOL?

Eileen, I have had a horrible day. My drunk neighbor was outside my window at 5:30 AM barking at my dogs. Grr...I am going to have to start calling the police again.

Your post has made me laugh. I forgot that I was homeschooling! How could I forget that post? It should be in the hall of fame of posts *LOL*

"Why you are worrying about CUPS vs SIPPYCUPS or EBM vs BM from the BREAST?"

I'm not worried, I've done the research. I know exactly why I do what I do.

"My god, you are SO worried about little things and not at all worried about "results".

No, I'm not worried, just debating what's optimal for young children.

"Get a job, you truly TRULY need one."

Thanks, but I already have one LOL.

I know what is best as well, and I'm not only doing it, but I'm doing it AND supporting my family financially.

I'm feeling punchy and your post was the first post I read.

"In fact, for a couple of years, I ran a homeschooling coop out of my home for the children of several of our closet friends and family members."

What is a 'homeschooling coop" is it like the Harvard Coop or a chicken coop? Or did you mean to type co-op. Also, why do you have closet friends. How come you are not friends out in the open? Are they gay? Or did you mean to type closest?

Okay that was fun. Back to reality. I educate my children outside of their school environment - I never thought that it was 'homeschooling', I thought it was part of being a 'good parent' (see discussion in other thread). I'm glad that your DD is learning Chinese writing. I don't know what grade level that would be -probably the same grade level as when our children learn to print their names. When do Chinese children learn to print?

I am constantly amazed by the number of children performing above grade level. I'm beginining to think that grade level is a minimum standard and not an average standard.

No one said going natural was easy! If you want natural and we follow YOUR theory, she better start working on her sucking muscles. Or she should stick to oranges.
