And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

Well maybe you should all stop with the incredible ammounts of time and effort? You know this bonding thing is supposed to happen as a result of baby having someone around who provides love and sees to it that the babies needs are met. It takes INCREDIBLE AMMOUNTS OF TIME AND EFFORT to STOP the bond from forming...not to enable it to form. I didn't make this up. Nature did. Its nature's way that the bond forms inspite of, not because of, incredible ammounts of time and effort being directed toward the whole bond forming thing. This allows for incredible ammounts of time and effort to be applied by adults to other tasks...like aquiring food, for example. Because no baby is bonding with anyone after they've managed to starve to death. THAT is nature's way.

I addressed the point in your post.I don't know, my kids have pretty optimal bonds with other people. How can you even presume to speculate such things based on feeding choice is beyond me.~Lisa

<<Not necessarily. Earlier in this thread, you and I discussed Momofhk's credibility, why everyone was continuously questioning her and her having ideals. Remember, I said I'd keep an open mind? I did. >>

Yes we did discuss her credibility and the lack there of.

Infants and young children need their parents to provide the bacon. At all costs. It can't be cooked if it AIN'T there. So nature has created infants and young children such that they can thrive in the care of other than parents. They were positively designed for it. The babys weren't designed to *know* where the critical bacon aquiring stopped, and where the optional egg collecting began. Its irrelevant. They are designed to thrive inspite of non-parental care, not because of parent-only care.

On the other hand, nature has created parents such that they need to feel like they are spending their days in some endeavour that is directly related to the well being of their children. Which means, if a parent isn't busy aquiring the bacon, said parent will define whatever it is this parent is doing, as extremely important for their children's well being. This is where the option of having as much bacon as possible cooked specifically by Mommy...becomes important. Its important to Mommy...not baby. Not so Mommy can feel bonded, but so that Mommy can feel useful.

Well if they can't, then apple juice isn't a NATURAL food source. Get rid of it.

Actually he wouldn't be that much of a quack. It's not about an ability to digest foods more easily - it's about the child's increased ability to keep them down. Both of my children had easy gag relexes - they threw up the entire contents of their bottles if they weren't burped in a certain way (small frequent burps). The doctor said alot of it would go away (and it did) when they sat up for most of the day. Apparently, there is a valve that helps keep food in the stomach - when a baby sits up gravity help the valve do its job better.

May i suggest that it may be more appropriate and healthier for you if you opt to bang your head into your pillow instead? I would hate to see your brains scrambled over a poster who has no idea of what an UNBIASED source is.

However, feel free to disregard said advice.

My son learned Chinese (both speaking and writing) in first grade from one of his friends in class who happened to be Chinese. I imagine there were children in China doing the same thing at the same time! Imagine that! LOL!

Loved your post. Especially the "coop" part. ROFLMAO!

That may be one aspect of it, but it's NOT the part of it that experts concern themselves with when recommending delayed starts to solid foods and juices.
