And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

<<We all go into parenting with common sense and our ability to weigh the "experts'" opinions.>>
Yes that's true however the so called "experts"

<> I'm not sure why you continue to focus on my debate "style" or claim I insult people here. This is the way I talk IRL for the most part. No debate style. I give back what is given here. I honestly don't think you can insult anyone here, we all have thick skins, and there's no way in the world you're going to convince me I could possibly insult someone of Jorvia's (trial atty in Manhattan) stature. She has an elephantine-thick skin and I find it laughable she'd feign indignation at Momofhk's allegedly "condescending" tone. In fact, if Jorvia truly finds Momofhk condescending it goes to prove my point - Momofhk is a treasure and continues many ideals we've lost.
At the beginning didn't you have a moment or 2 where you didn't want anyone else (remember the throngs of family and friends) to hold your baby? Well, how can we all go from that feeling to going back to work pretending sah with our children is the exact same as woh? That's why I like Momofhk.
Good thing I take the easy way out and am an uninvolved parent.
I'm a little confused.

Nope - can't relate there.

What does liking anyone have to do with it?

She *thinks* there is merit to her arguments. We keep questioning her so we too can see those merits. But she refuses to show us said merits.
f<<She truly believes in being a great mom and making informed choices. >>
Great! I can say the same about myself and others here. But, I don't *LOL* at the choices momofhk makes. And if they are informed choices, why can't she show us where she became informed?
<>
Yep. But it wasn't idealism, it was paranoia. It wsa unrealistic. Do you really think it is *ideal* to not let anyone else hhold your baby?
<>
NO ONE HAS EVER SAID IT IS THE "EXACT SAME". We've all said its different. We also say that different does not equal worse or better. The *outcome* of our children in the long run (10, 20, 30 years from now) is not dependent upon SAH or WOH.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color. Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.
