And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

No one has said it is. We have said that having a SAHP is simply not necessary in all situations.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

BULLCHIT. IF ds learns his colors and numbers and alphabet at daycare isn't he learning? It may be *called* daycare, but he *is* receiving a supplemental education.

just a note about our kids' summer camps...alyssa, as usual, will do the summer program at her school throughout July...ds will go to 2 weeks of basketball camp, jenna will do one week of scrapbook camp and 2 weeks of acting class (in preparation for going to auditions once her headshots are done)...

Oh, and MOM is going to a 4 day scrapbook weekend in August. Coincidentally, it happens to be the weekend of their father's visitation -- and he'll also take them on the Thursday evening -- In fact, that's NO different than if he still lived here, LOL.

ROFLMAO!!! Hey, my son learned "Chinese" from his friend. Actually, I think it was Mandarin, but I'll have to check with his friend.

So your child is in school for just the socialization? Is she not required then to do the work that the other children do since you cover that in homeschooling. Does she sit there and twiddle her thumbs during math and reading? I guess I am really unclear, did you really state that she goes to school for 6 hours and homeschools for 4? You have your child doing work for 10 hours a day? Sounds like she needs a childhood a lot more than an education.

My kids love summer camps....the time to concentrate on their favorite interests....Both boys are going to 2 weeks at different times in the summer of 'Mad Science Camp', the will be building rockets and blasting them off....like I really want to or even know how to do that in my backyard?
