I am not Holly, but I can answer these questions for myself....

My youngest has NEVER taken a bottle (Other than the preemie nursers from the hospital that she had to use while transitioning from a feeding tube to the breast).

Sah automatically equals domestic duties?

Not for all sahs. If that is true you might want to mention that to my sister who can't boil water & I doubt she knows where the sweeper is even kept.

She has live in hired help, yet she is a sah wife.

Your assumption is jumping to the immediate conclusion that a sah wife means she is expected to do the domestic chores. That isn't true in all marriages.

Before you hit the key board to ask. No, she doesn't volunteer either. But she is about the farthest thing from what you could associate lazy with. She is definately not lazy either.

I'm sure I could come up with plenty of ideas. But volunteering would not be one of the choices.

I'm glad you enjoy it. You should do it if that is what floats your boat.

Nope. None would be options. Dh works nights. I woh pt mornings. MIL watches the baby. I have no other childcare because I refuse to use any for my baby. If I were going to take off work, I'd stay home with my child, not volutneer.

I just started reading this thread, and you just touched on something I've been thinking throughout reading it all: volunteerism doesn't have to be painful to be meaningful! You can enjoy what you're doing and still be helping out. Who wouldn't want to help others by doing something they already enjoy? Everyone wins.

It can be the typical soup kitchen stuff (which I enjoy but I can see how some may not) but it can also be an extension of who you are - I work on resumes at local job fairs and I get a rush from it. . . was a dog walker for a local pound (can I just say, best gig ever - you get to give love to these wonderful doggies and you get it back tenfold w/ a tail wag!) You can enjoy what you're doing, and help the community while you're at it. . .
