And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

Again, I'm sorry you got that impression. I see nothing wrong with volunteering & in fact, respect those who do and enjoy it even. I don't see sewing a dress for my sister or helping out my brother in his business as volunteering, but being a gracious sister glad to freely give of her time & talents. You want to call it volunteering, ok, I volunteered to sew a dress for my sister and work as a hostess when my brother called because the employee called in sick. Does that make you happy?

Simple. It means together, mutually, dh & I decided that he would be the sole breadwinner and that I would be a sah wife. Whatever came from that, came. What ever comes from that, comes. Dh doesn't expect me to bare the entire cleaning, cooking, gardening, mowing, marketing responsibilities because I so happen to be the one that is at home more. But I do it because I actually enjoy these tasks. Well, not the cleaning, but thankfully that takes so little time it isn't a big deal. Simple really.

That would be a pretty bizarre thing for a Christian to accept, don't you think? I mean, if we're still sacrificing animals as atonement, why do we need Christ?

And with the exception of Christ who chose freely, I am unaware of a single instance of Christian or Judaic human sacrifice.

Glad you can see domestic opportunities isn't the only reason for one to be a sahw.

Did you really LOL? FSW has been entirely consistent, she does not volunteer. Is she an exemplary parent? Yes. Why do you have to harp?

<> Actually, it doesn't matter to you how she defines volunteering, because you're going to try to insult her either way. She's above it. Let's see. If you give up your seat on a bus for an elderly person, is that also volunteering? I just don't see your point other than trying to deride, for what reason, I just can't fathom.

What about people like myself who volunteer but only do so for social reasons? I belong to the local Jr. League for that reason. Will the gates of Heaven not open up for me, but they will for someone like you?

Of course everyone's experiences are different, but not only did I have a much easier, more predictable child when I got #2, we were already working with and around ds#1's schedule.

Petey is starting to be able to do some board games - it's just so interactive now.
