And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

I am not as up on the Old Testament as I should be...can you point out where Christians sacrificed humans and animals to atone for their sins?

Neither was I. that doesn't mean that i knew the full extent of the work involved -- especially once having had all 3 kids. Oh, but you wouldn't know about that, would you?

DUH. Funny, but EVERY mom i know both IRL and HERE seems to understand this. Was there some reason you thought it wouldn't be?

I found that statement ludicrous as well. I can't COUNT the number of times I've heard women who have children, and find that they really do NOT want to work anymore (and had planned on doing so).. and the women who have said they desperately NEED to work (who hadn't planned on doing so).

They may not now but the ones that were out in the 80's did.

It is a central tenet of every Christian denomination I know (including Methodism) that Christ was indeed fully human. And yes, like you and me. And also some permutation of divine as well.

You know. We have never even talked about that silly what if notion. We just work together & things are accomplished.

I do know that if I take a few of those days, it has never been a big deal to him. Like when he goes golfing for a week (and being in real estate be doesn't have "vacation days"). It is fine with me.

When I am not home he does whatever he sees needs to be doing. If I am away on a trip, ditto.

We work together, we don't have divided responsibilities. We just do what we see and know needs to be done.

Easy concept, really. Has been working for nearly 14 years.

OH asking & telling (demanding) are two different things. The latter wouldn't work with me nor in reverse order in this house.

Thankfully, I'm not one to give him any thing to complain about. I'm more of a doer than one to sit back and wait for it to be done.

Yes, I think catering would be more profitable. The sewing on the side of formals, wedding gowns may be more money. But I don't know how much of a market there is for this overall. Just amongst family and friends I get plenty of requests and repeat requests.

I do have enough business experience to at least get a receptionist job, not high paying or even very well, but I would make do. I'm not one to worry about things like that. Where there is a will, there is a way if I had to do it between 3 different jobs. I'm a go getter that way.

I love the mommy & me outfits. I'm working on one tonight for us. Sundresses and I found sandals almost identical. What a coo I thought.
