And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

No, NO, i still got you beat...

1. i went back to work when mine were 8 weeks old

2. no co-sleeping; cribs all the way!!!!! loved our nursery!

3. bf ds for 1 week -- never tried with the other two

4. used a semi-CIO; very little tears in general

5. took middle dd to new zealand for 10 days -- leaving behind a 4 year old and a 4 month old.

6. make NO apologies whatsoever to anyone for continuing to woh -- because NONE are needed.

7. used night time sitters on the nights (1 per week) that i attended college classes

8. went with my best friend to adult ed classes 1 night per week -- used a sitter then too

9. send my kids to a few weeks of summer day-camp (although that should never be confused with day-care)

But that's the beauty of traditionalist/fundamentalist doctrines. You don't have to plan anything. You don't have to discuss anything. It's all mapped out for you, even before you're born.
Congratulations! I'm so happy to hear it. I just heard the good news and popped back over, just in case you were still checking in.

I think I win bad SAH Mommy of the year!

1. No co-sleeping...dd was in her own room, own crib from day one!

2. BF for 3 months, dying for her to take a bottle of ebm so I could go out for a couple of drinks!

3. Went to Mexico for a wedding when dd was 6 months (actually missed her 6 month b-day because of it! The horror!)

4. CIO, sometimes.

5. She's watching tv right now! Sesame St, usually every morning, so I can do this.

6. She's in the gym dc with me, 5 days a week.

I've managed to do everything wrong and I SAH.

"Okay, if you go that route, then we have to start comparing diets. Her diet could have been much more nutrient packed than yours, so even with the loss of nutrients due to freezing/thawing hers still could have been much more nutritious than yours. Maybe you ate donuts and french fries every day and she ate broccoli and fish."

Nah, I love broccoli and fish LOL. BTW, Of course I ate healthily while bfing, still do.

"You're not some super mommy because you bf longer than many."

Of course not, *my* status as a mom is completely irrelevent. Have I ever claimed to be super mommy? Perhaps *you* brought it up because you really can't argue with or disprove my line of reasoning?

"Oh never mind ... I'll give in ... "you are the supreme mommy. Everything you did was better than anything anyone else has ever thought of doing. We should all aspire to be just like you. Your children are, and always will be, perfect in every way because you are"

Nope, I am not the supreme mommy LOL. Sure, I made some optimal decisions and have more than reaped the benefits, however nobody's perfect. We all make mistakes. Are you honestly suggesting that I am perfect and have never made a mistake LOL? Come now.

"So what do you put in your dd cup when she was 5 months old if not b-milk?"

Juice and water. Why would I put bm in a cup when she could get it on demand, right from the source? BTW, she never used a sippy cup. She tried it once, but couldn't get the juice to come out of it. I guessed it was because she didn't have any experience with bottles. The sucking techniques are quite different you know? Instead she preferred a regular cup without a lid, yes even at 5 months. All you have to do is put small amounts in the cup umtil they get used to it.

Why go from a bottle to a sippy cup anyway? For appearance sake? Aren't they going to have to use a regular cup at some point? Perhaps it's a question of convenience. Also, I guess parents really can't expect a dcp to be attentive enough to help multiple children to use a regular cup. Luckily, I didn't have that problem though.

Just for the record, I'm one of those moms who hated to see young children (especially 3, 4, and even 5 year olds who were clearly old enough to use a regular cup) carrying around a sippy cup all day. To me, it's basically just the same thing as carrying around a bottle. My dd used a cup only at the table during snack and meantimes. I didn't really see the point of her carrying around a sippy cup anymore than a bottle all day. But of course, that's just me.
