I have one child and I'm a SAHM. If I didn't have a child and were financially able to stay at home, I'd want to work. I love being a SAHM but I miss work, I miss earning my own money (though we do consider my husband's income "our" money) and I miss the satisfaction I got from work.
However, my son is 11, so he doesn't need me as much as he did and I'm considering going back to school part-time. I think my husband, however, would love to take a few years off, so maybe we can arrange that someday. He's stressed a lot at this job and we're not sure the money is worth it. He loves his job but I think he would have made a great house hubby! So maybe if I return to work, he can relax more.
