And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

Possibly, but bm on demand from the actual source is waaaay better than ebm in a cup. As far as I know, neither juice nor water are available from the breast LOL. Are you saying that you didn't give your children juice or water? And yes, you're right I did only want what was "absolutely, positivel, undisputedly the best for her." That's exactly why she got bm on demand from the actual source, and juice and water in a cup. Is there any reason why I should have given her emb in a cup rather than from the actual source. I certainly can't think of any.
"Right on!!!! For the appearance of my floors, chair pads, table cloths, the kid's clothes. Yes, I had them use sippy cups for "appearance sake."
Oh, so it's all about *you* then LOL?
"FTR, my children are only allowed to use their cups (sippy or otherwise) at mealtimes & snack time."
Mine too, only at snacks and mealtimes (or when she was thirsty) but always at the table. But she used a regular rather than a sippy cup of course.
"What on earth does what type of cup your child uses have to do with WHEN and WHERE they use it?"
Beacuse I can't stand to see children carrying a sippy cup around all day. I happen to think cups belong at the table, and apparently you do to.. Why exaclly did you ask the question, when clearly you have just as much a problem with the WHEN and WHERE as I do LOL.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist. I look at "bb" and think "bulletin board.")
Oh, and another thing....

Did it ever occur to you to let her try it again?

The best reason is that it is that it would mean you weren't giving her juice or water in thye sippy cup, which at 5 months of age are providing her with nothing but unnecessary &/or empty calories & sugar, that's why.

Maybe what you saw transpire here on this board gave you an unfavorable opinion of OTBM and I respect your right to have that unfavorable opinion (although I certainly wish you didn't have it), but I would just like you to know that OTBM has a big heart and I think it is in the right place and I absolutely don't think she is a bigot at all. She has the nerve to warmly correspond with me, a church-going wafer-chomping Jesus-believing Catholic.
