It is clear you have not actually studied the Bible itself.

Actually they recommend giving juice very sparingly, if at all.

"It is clear you have not actually studied the Bible itself."

Actually, yes I have. In fact, I used to be a Christian LOL, that is until I started thinking for myself.

"if you were truly interested in learning,"

Oh, I'm not interested in learning about Christianity. I am however, very interested in attempting to open other people's minds to the idea that GOD does NOT = CHRISTIANITY.

"As I have pointed out, this is not a religious debate board, and this is not the appropriate place to do so."

Then why are you posting/debating about it hereLOL.

"I suppose the #1 question I would have for you regarding your view of god - is that does he not care, or is he so weak that he can not communicate his will to mankind, or does he care but just stay unattached, or is he perhaps an intelligence with no feelings?"

Are you suggesting that animal sacrifice/burnt offerings/human sacrifice is an somehow an example of caring? Of strength? Of communicating God's will? How??? How is animal sacrifice/burnt offerings/human sacrifice an example of ANY of these things? BTW, Why would GOD require animal sacrifice/burnt offerings/human sacrifice, in the first place? Hmm, my guess is that this was a "human" requirement, not GOD's, as humans are more likely to require "mythological" types of rituals, traditions, and practices.

Honestly, what would an all powerful GOD get out of animal sacrifice/burnt offerings/human sacrifice anyway? By the same token, what would humans get out of animal sacrifice/burnt offerings/human sacrifice? A means of taking away/atoning for their sins? HOGWASH!!! Killing, murder, burnt offerings, and sacrifice DOES NOT and CAN NOT take away sin. In fact, all it could realistically do, is ADD to sin. Mythology is mythology is mythology. Killing, murder, burnt offerings, and sacrifice DOES NOT and CAN NOT take away sin. Human and animal sacrifice, no matter what religion or belief system it's connected with, is NOTHING MORE ABSOLUTE AND UTTER MYTHOLOGY.

BTW, could you please explain to me why you choose to accept the idea of killing, murder, burnt offerings, and sacrifice as a means of atoning for sin? Likewise, could you please explain to me why you choose to accept a GOD that REQUIRES such sick, demented, and perverse things?

"It is not a far stretch for someone who believes in an intelligent creator, to presume he has used SOME method for communicating his will to mankind."

And what methods would that be what again???

it's not a surprise that you don't see the condescention, however, that does not mean that it isn't there. It is there -- and i'm not the only one that hears it. It's hard not to since it permeates everything she writes.

So the only thing that has changed in the last 21 years (since my DD1 was an infant) is the recommendation changed for 4-6 months to 6 months.

I think what gave juice a bad name was many people over doing it. I don't think that there any health issues with one 2-4 ounce serving per day. But many infants/toddlers were given juice to drink all day long in the 90's because parents mistakingly thought if a little juice was good then a lot of juice was even better. That is when the red flag went up that too much juice can be an issue.

I still dilute my kids' juice and they're 8 and 4! That whole "3 cans of water" thing for a pitcher? Not in my house .. I do four. Stretches the juice $wise and also provides a better water/sugar ratio.

I also do only 100% juice .. none of that cocktail crap.
