And your dh made enough $$ to support both of you comfortably, do you think you would be working?

The problem is that MomofHK doesn't realize that not everyone has the same ideals and the same black and white view of the world. Anyone that does not share the same values is automatically a bad, selfish mother. She has said, at one time, that she can tell the difference between school aged children of WOHM as compared to school aged children of SAHMs.

I'm not dissatisfied with her answers...they don't even hit a plane or realtity to even consider them.

Ok, with your scenario how about this .... you make it with 50% more water than recommended.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

Actually, I've talked to several pediatricians who said that you should evaluate your children's diet over several days and not get stressed that they eat balanced meals every time they sit down.

Admitting error would have shown more class.

In post 678 you wrote, “bm on demand from the actual source is waaaay better than ebm in a cup.” http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-pssahwoh&msg=13482.712 Not just better, but "waaaaay better".

I asked you to explain why and your entire response was “Are you kidding, LOL?” http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-pssahwoh&msg=13482.751. Again, not exactly qualifying your claims. Still stuck on "waaaay better".

Over the next day or so I repeatedly reminded you that you hadn’t answered. While answering posts all over this thread, you continued to ignore my question.

I have never claimed, said or even hinted that ebm in a cup was better. My belief is that they are precisely the same.

So put up or shut up. Admit you were wrong or show me why bm from the breast is "waaaay better" than ebm in a cup.

Can I just say that after my last mathematical gaffe that you pointed out, I felt totally vindicated!

Oh, I do know that, but it doesn't keep me from mentally tallying how he's doing on the pyramid. He's going through that picky stage now--I can't get meat into him unless it's deli meat or hot dogs. SIGH. Thank God for peanut butter (which I know is a no-no, but he LOVES it and its protein he'll eat, unlike eggs). He love, love, loves veggies (esp. when "dipped" in whatever), fruit, cheese and bread, but is anti-meat these days.

I know I have "food" issues, probably b/c my mom is diabetic and until her gastric bypass two years ago was morbidly obese my entire life. Dad's a big guy too and nutrition just isn't important to them. Having watched them consume crap most of my life (and watched the health consequences), I'm a little paranoid. Esp. b/c they equate food w/love and can't get enough junk food into DS whenever he's at their place. They have VERY unhealthy ideas about food and I'm so paranoid about DS picking up on that...he already walks straight to the counter of crap when we walk in their house for candy and cookies and chips. YIKES!

Sorry--you hit a nerve.
