You left out a "combination of two or more of the above" option...I used PT center care, PT relative care...

I can't vote for more than one option. . .I've used FT center care, FT family child care, and PT nanny. . .heck, I've even done those things simultaneously, just with different kids at different times.

I can't answer on this one. I used all of the above when I was working. We tried daycare center, we tried home daycare (licensed), we tried home care (unlicensed) by a friend of ours, we tried my cousins home (part-time), and I even hired a nanny for a short time to come in so that the kids would still be home with DH, but the cost was really not worth me working.

The best two senerios was my cousin, but it wasn't even for working purposes, and the nanny. The nanny was AWESOME! She was such a wonderful woman, who the kids liked. She was strict with them, but not mean, she took care to watch over DH without smothering him (he was bedridden at the time), she took him to dr appointments when we couldn't make other arrangements (yes, with the kids in tow), she helped out around the house, half the time she made something for dinner. And best of all, the kids were still home with their dad! But when it came down to it, it wasn't worth the money that we were paying, much less what she was WORTH to have me working. Which is when I quit for good. DS was too young to still remember her, but my DD talks about her fondly, even still.
