OK, remember this is a debate board, and I am going to play devil's advocate here, so please let's play nice.

So saying (as other posters have said) you would save more money buy buying another brand and that you are not really getting a savings makes no sense.

There is more to my shopping than just cutting a coupon and buying what is on sale. I compare prices every single time I go and I determine what is best for my family from what is on sale, what coupons I have and what products we enjoy.

Example---Prince Mac & Cheese might be 50 cents. Kraft is $1.19 on sale and I have a 35 cents coupon (doubles to 70 cents). I will get the Kraft for 49 cents. While the Prince overall is a better price because it is always 50 cents, I would never buy it because my family does not enjoy it at all.

AND..I would buy it if the other product is something I would not buy anyway.

If Prince is $.50 and Kraft is $.49, then the better deal is Kraft.

Is the food bank nearby? I would have to spend the gas money to get to the food bank and it really would not be saving me any money in the long run. BUT...that is a great thing to do though :)

My whole point is that I would NEVER buy that brand anyway so even if I did not have a coupon and got Kraft on sale for $1.19 (and the store would tell me I saved
