OK, remember this is a debate board, and I am going to play devil's advocate here, so please let's play nice.

She said that it's possible for someone in her area to live on $40,000. And it IS possible. Whether or not anyone actually does is completely irrelevant. Just because a person *doesn't* buy thrift store clothing doesn't mean that they *couldn't*.
Not true. How do you know that they have ever size for your entire family? What if you only budgeted so much and they could not fit your needs?
<>
She gave you a very specific rundown of exactly how she figured it all out. In fact I think it was posted twice.
Yes I know and many things were left out too. I don't think I am asking too much to see a website with the info on it, am I?
<>
Huh? Which info? I'm sorry, but I'm not about to post links to all of my utility companies information and my employer's human resources page.

How would you know that they *don't* have every size the family needs? Mine does. So yes, it IS true that it is possible for some people to shop at thrift stores. Also, nobody every said anything about having to purchase 100% of their clothing at thrift stores, just that they can (hypothetically) shop at thrift stores for clothing.
<>
Yes, since it would reveal detailed information about her place of employment, that is asking too much.
