It guess it is a reasonable springboard for a family without a car, like the poster. What about the ones who have one or two or even three cars in their family? There was no budget for car insurance, maintenance, license, registration and inspection.

Huh? I gave you a budget that included two cars, insurance, etc. From what she has posted, the COL in her area and mine are very similar.

So if they are public, would they jeopardize your privacy as I would never ask you to do that as I don't like when people do it to me.

Well maybe she can find out the estimate of cars in her area. I can't see having no car in a family being higher than the average family having one. Not everyone works at the university.
IME I do not know any adults who don't have cellphones. Heck, even my grandparents-who have passed :( had a cellphone and they were in their 90's-lol!!
