OK, remember this is a debate board, and I am going to play devil's advocate here, so please let's play nice.

lol!!

That is why I am on budget. Our highest "bill" is December. I know though that my sister's bills in the summer with the in-ground pool and central air have been $600.

The owners of a house assessed at $317,000 within city limits here would pay $2464 in property taxes.

No YOU stated I did not know about the census bureau, correct? Did I ever say that I did not? Did I ever answer you? Maybe you should look back at your posts :)

It varies here within the county. We live in city limits, so ours is the highest for the county at 1.3%.

Yeah, we have one of the highest COL in the county. 142 out of 100. I think you are way under the 100, correct? My taxes are LOW for my area also.

I know because many other people I know pay ALOT more in taxes (even though their homes are larger and maybe more property). My gf a couple of towns away pays $9,000 and a friend who lives just blocks away (much larger home and property but same town and school resources) pays over $12,000.
