The class might "officially" have a big name Prof attached for the weekly three one hour lectures (for which they may show up for a few), but the office hours are staffed by grad students, the labs are staffed by grad students, the grading is done by computer or grad students............

Generally, classes taught at excellent private small colleges are taught by the actual Professors, who staff their own office hours and grade their own papers. There are no graduate students.
