Take your LEAST preferred work status and tell us something that would make that work status more bearable for you if you had to do it for a while.

Examples:

SAHM - it would be more bearable for me to be a SAHM if we had plenty of money for me to take the kids to places like the zoo, museums, Gymboree, etc instead of having to rely on only free things.

or

WOHM - it would be more bearable for me to be a WOHM if my employers had on-site daycare so that I could be closer to my kids during the day.

or

WAHM - it would be more bearable for me to be a WAHM if my kids were old enough to entertain themselves while I got work done instead of having to wait until they take a nap, which is almost never at the same time as each other.

I can't decide:

SAH would be more bearable if we were independently wealthy or DH made enough money to do so comfortably.

WOH would be more bearable if I had a maid.

WAH would be more bearable if the kids were in school and DH wasn't at home when I was trying to work.

I agree and it's part of why I have chosen to work now, instead of being a sahp.

I thought I answered this question, but apparently it didn't make it to being posted.

I am currently in my least preferred work status. So, sah would be more bearable if I could rely on the school to do the right thing - then I could be a ptwohm instead of extreme advocate. Or SAH would be more bearable if I had a morning coffee clatch and walking group.

I think the hardest for me would be WAH. So,

"WAH wouldn't be so bad if there were some social contact/human interaction built into it."

I would like being a SAH and I like being a WOHM. It's the being at home and not having control of my time there that would bug me.

SAHM--if dh earned enough money to support my habit.

WOHM--if I didn't have to deal with bridzillas and only have reasonable brides.

WAHM--if I didn't have to work with wool in 100+ degree heat.
