I don't believe that children that have parents that work outside of the house are at a disadvantage... I also don't believe that children that have a parent that stays at home somehow benifit.

No, not at all. You can't make someone eat or sleep. You can control the conditions around which they eat or sleep, but you really can't force it. It's different from a backpack. If they don't pick up the backpack, you can take the backpack away.
Well...yea, they were little and often had to be reminded of the rules, isn't that common in young children?

I tried my two bites of strawberries way back as a young child and decided that I didn't like them, still don't and still don't eat them, lol.
