I don't believe that children that have parents that work outside of the house are at a disadvantage... I also don't believe that children that have a parent that stays at home somehow benifit.

They are advertising these things as comfortable. I don't know, haven't tried them on. And I do know that if a kid was set on them, she'd say they were comfortable even if they weren't.

other than stores like Walmart or occassionaly Target where things are cheap to begin with Liza knows better than to ask for anything not on sale LOL.

this summer my little bargain hunter spent $5 of her own money on the cutest little pair of cut off denim shorts on sale at Kohls

I have used the fabric protector on the boy's sports shoes. I think it makes a marginal difference in their longevity. But ordinary Scotchguard probably works as well.

Hmmm, similarly but with a different result. NOt too long ago I watched a TLC emergency room show. It was about parents who brought a 2 year old in to the emergency room because he had stopped developmental things that he was doing. He wasn't & couldn't walk any longer and was losing other skills that he had started. The emergency room dr. was at a loss for awhile & really that's something most would bring to a pediatrician. The dr. did all kinds of tests & found he was really really anemic & when he questioned the parents on the kids diet it turned out that the kid ate oatmeal. And lots of it. But that was the only food he ate! So he wasn't getting protein and a lot of other nutrients.

I have a love/hate relationship with Kohls. A lot of times what they say is their "regular price" isn't their regular price at all. We were there before school and my foster daughter wanted this certain pair of jeans that was 32.00. I thought that was kind of high and said no but I bought her two cheaper pairs. Later we were back during the big 40% off sale, and I had one of their 15% off everything coupons, and the same jeans were now marked "half off" at 28.00. 28 is not half of 32. But I let her get them anyway.

You are only partially right. Yes peer pressure is not always a good thing. But Bord didn't say that. She said it is sometimes a good thing, It certainly is a good thing in regards to her example, but not yours.

Did you buy her the shoes?
