I don't believe that children that have parents that work outside of the house are at a disadvantage... I also don't believe that children that have a parent that stays at home somehow benifit.

I feel that any form of interaction with other children is very important for their development.

i think the lightbulb moment for me was when my girls were about,4 and 3 and my oldest started asking why she wasn't eating what daddy and me ate.

I absolutely agree that each kid is different. I enrolled my daughter in those things because she was very attached to me. She would even cry if I was going to take a shower! That's when I realized that she needed some interaction from other people. I started her out with dance class where I was in a different room, but still there, and she only danced for 30 minutes a week at the age of 3. Then we moved up to preschool where she spent three hours away from me each day. It helped her, but some kids don't take to it as well as she did.


My friend is currently going through the struggle of leaving her 3 yr old at preschool and he cries every morning. There isn't a right or wrong way as a general rule, but more so a right way to deal with each unique individual.


My little boy is almost two years old so he's with me all the time except at church when
