I don't believe that children that have parents that work outside of the house are at a disadvantage... I also don't believe that children that have a parent that stays at home somehow benifit.

No, I don't think you can guarantee anything; but I usually go with the best odds. I do think kids have the best odds of liking a variety of foods and being able to eat them if they are exposed to them early and often.

OH heck yea, I have food quirks as do my kids but trying new foods is just not one of them...we get caught up in the experience of food.

Clearly liza and I love food -- I mean come on look at us chubbies LOL -- but I don't think any of us is very adventurous.

For me, shells belong in mac and cheese, rotini belongs in pasta salads, cavetelli belongs with pasta con broccoli...but mostly I like penne, lasagna, thin spaghetti or linguine, with a red or pesto sauce, somtimes a evoo/garlic sauce.

See, I told you I had food issues.

I don't think my kids ever knew what a "kid's meal" was. I never saw the point in a separate menu for children. They did like to color the placemats at different places, though.

For us/my family, it's not so much of trying to enforce tastes of different foods and liking them, it's more about trying something new, trying something before you decide that you don't like it...and exposure of course.

Pasta salads do not belong anywhere.

For me during pregnancy it was eggs cooking...thankfully it didn't stick with me though as I love poached eggs.
