How did your household income/potential income influence the number of children in your family? Did you and dh stop at a certain number of kids because you wanted to be able to provide certain things for each child?

It matters because you stated that you drive your children back and forth to baseball like that is a normal occurence. It is not. Most people put their children in leagues by their homes and travel back and forth all week for a short amount of time."

Oh really? Many people who I know drive big distances to take their kids to a variety of activities. I have a friend whose son plays baseball in our area. But they live 30 minutes away. In fact, quite a few people drive to our area, as it has great leagues/ infrastructure from as far as an hour away. So I wouldnt claim that "most" people do just local activities.

You also make fun of me because I know what is going on in my neighborhood. Yes I do because I want it to be a good place for my children to grow up in and I don't want to have to send my children to public school."

I know whats' going on in my neighborhood too! Our community is really involved. I think that's totally wonderful and normal. But did you mean that you didnt want to "have to send" your kids to private (vs. public) schooL?

I live in a very nice area with great schools and want that to stay that way."

Don't we all:) Those of us who live in nice areas!

Look at the stats. Schools in minority neighborhoods do worse than schools in more affluent Caucasian areas. I'm just reporting the facts. I know it's not politically correct to admit this but I don't see a rush of people enrolling their children in Detroit public schools or Miami public schools.

Why? And not to butt in, but no, not near us. They are very mixed. The private and public schools are fairly mixed. But there are no minority schools, that I know of, period, in our area. Not majority minority.

What bias and what baggage? I go by the stats.
