How did your household income/potential income influence the number of children in your family? Did you and dh stop at a certain number of kids because you wanted to be able to provide certain things for each child?

<< You are giving us nothing here, as I figured.>>

You deserve nothing more. You are asking for personal, private information it's really not any of your business.

CLW posts occasionally on another forum that I frequent, although I haven't posted to her personally in recent days. I see her around there. Lots of ex-ivillagers there, but they're mostly from the former parents-place side of ivillage.

Felicia's school district competes with my former school district as the number one district in the state. Her district is 41.3% white (with the three next higher groups, in order, African American, Hispanic and Asian American.

My former school district is 56.6% white, with the three next higher groups, in order, African American, Asian American and Hispanic.

Those two districts are the two wealthiest school districts in that state and also receive the least state money per student in the state and are funded primarily with local taxes.

Shoot, I know in Felicia's neck of the woods, just as one example, traveling 45 minutes to a ballfield might still only get you about 10 miles or so :) (Although I think that happens more across the river from her than on her side) That's hardly so far afield that people wouldn't bother :)

Only if she'd said "exactly 50%, 30% and 10%". "about" is not an exact number and permits the reader to understand that there is a range there. At least, the reader that can function in 4th grade mathematics.

Because you're an optimist.

I'm afraid the Greek chorus isn't up to that standard just yet ;)

Not according to the evidence at hand, no, she's not. However, like me, perhaps she enjoys hearing anecdotes about other people's happy families. I like Katie's posts about her family; not because I have the hots for Katie, but because her anecdotes about family "doin's" are nice, and funny and insightful.

I'm all for stories about happy families.

So then, it's safe to assume you're not a statistician for a living, are you?
