How did your household income/potential income influence the number of children in your family? Did you and dh stop at a certain number of kids because you wanted to be able to provide certain things for each child?

No problem. Not many people do this and I was surprised when I started my job that my boss did it too!
My dh and I get paid weekly. In the months that there are 5 weeks, every 3 months, I will take the paychecks, take out what we need for that week (food, spending money and sometimes after-care/camp) and then minus the rest from the total of our paychecks. Whatever is left, usually the same or more (if dd does not go to after-care or camp that week and I am off or have a free sitter) is put into my checking account (under my after-care/camp budget). Each week when I do the bills, I just minus whatever we spent that week on after-care/camp and we susually are down to the penny or have some extra when the next 5th week comes.

I believe you as one of my old co-workers was paying $5,000/summer for her child to go during the day, not even sleepover. If you can afford that, then great. I can not and am very lucky I only pay $90/week.

In my area from what I have experienced, quality is not dependent on location or income of that location.

Ok. I thinkI get it. It only happesn to me twice a year so it's easier for me to budget the afterschool camp etc in the same lump sum each month but I think i understand whatyou do. thanks for sharing.

This was not a school run organization. It is a football/cheerleading league that runs from July-November. They are for 6-13 year olds.

<<I questioned if you had to buy each girl a new uniform every year. The clarification was made that you need only to purchase to replace uniforms or to order a needed size. Thus not every girl needs to order a new uniform each year. >>

Yes, I know you questioned....I'm curious as to why, since it doesn't have anything to do with the cost per girl.

No problem! I do my bills differently than alot of people because most people just put their paychecks into the bank and pay the bills! I have a notebook that I categorize all my items and then minus from that in the book. I feel more organized knowing how much I have in each category to spend (clothes, medical, car repairs, after-care, activities, etc.).

<<Well I certainly wouldn't quote someone on a board and then not back it up with facts. You also posted a link with a school that was comparable in tuition when you have no idea if that family pays what they claim they do. >>

I will certainly remember what you would or wouldn't do on this board, however it's not really relevant to what I would or wouldn't do.

Can you provide a link to support what you say your
